GoldStar was incorporated in 1996 by Richard D. Andersen of Omaha, Nebraska, previously CEO of Ancom Business Systems and Ed Hubert of Cincinnati, Ohio, retired CEO and Chairman of Hubert Enterprises.

The company was originally founded to provide Information Technology talent to businesses within the United States. Since that time the business has diversified to provide staffing services for all career skills to include Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Sales and Marketing, and other areas. In addition, services are now provided for clients in North America, Latin America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
